High Flyer

As striking as the Bar-headed Goose is, its beauty is not nearly the most impressive thing about it. Bar-headed geese are one of the highest altitude migrators around. There's even been reports of observations of them above Mount Everest. So while to us, anywhere above 8,000 meters is known as "The Death Zone", to these geese, it's just a faster way of getting from point A to point B, like hoping on the autobahn.
