About

I've always been fascinated by wildlife. In fact, when I was a child, I'd tell people I wanted to be a 'Safari Guy'. I wasn't really sure what that meant, but I knew that I wanted to be in the wild, observing animals. Now, as a wildlife biologist, I think the child in me would be proud of how far I've come.

In those early days of my childhood, every animal encounter was met with wide eyes, whether it be in person or through some form of media. People like Steve Irwin, David Attenborough and Jane Goodall helped ignite this passion in me. Through not only the visuals they'd present but the stories that would be conveyed alongside them. I hope, that I can convey just a fraction of what they were and are able to with my photography and story telling.

My research interests are based on carnivores and ungulates primarily and I am currently investigating wolf-bison interactions as I pursue my MSc at the University of Alberta. However, the natural world has so much to offer and I don't plan on limiting my photography as narrowly as my research. I am particularly fond of photographing birds, Canadian mammals, and the occasional landscape photo.
