Wisakedjak

Whiskey Jack, Venison Hawk, Grey Jay, Canada Jay, even Camp Robber; this bird is known by many names. My personal favourite though is definitely Whiskey Jack. Whiskey Jack is a derivative of the "Wisakedjak", which to many First Nations, including the Cree, Algonquin and Menominee First Nations, is a benevolent spirit. While Whiskey Jack and Wisakedjak are not the same thing, they share some mischievous qualities, like stealing snacks from your campsite.
